Drahník Matěj
I run for: university senate
I study: 3rd year of BSc. – Economics and Management
Who am I?
I am a student of third year bachelor studying Economics and Management. You might have met me on adaptation course or on various events organised by Tutors, Gaming or DI(V)OCH.
Why should you vote for me?
Sometimes even I get lost in our school corridors but not in the people I meet in them. And although we are a chemical and technological school, I believe that even we economists should have our representative.

Frank Kryštof
I run for: university senate and faculty senate for BSc. and MSc. students
I study: 1st year of MSc. – Energy and Fuels
Who am I?
I am currently studying at the Departement of Power Engineering, where my research subject is the analysis of corrosion layers of zirkonium alloys. I am aslo an employee of the Central Laboratories, specifically the Laboratory of Molecular Spectroscopy. My biggest hobby is music – I play far too many musical instruments.
Why should you vote for me?
I would like to actively participate on making our faculty (and therefore the entire UCT) a modern institution of the 21st century. In the Faculty Senate. I would like to continue to address current challenges, such as expanding teaching in the English language, greater use of e-learning, improving the teaching of economics or close cooperation with the newly established CirkTech Center.
I would also like to open up new challenges, such as greater usage of modern methods in teaching (such as the usage of YouTube or the e-learning already mentioned), a little more emphasis on logical thinking than memorizing formulas and greater faculty involvement in public space.
I would also like to introduce (if interest and time options allow) regular informal meetings with students, where we could share information and ideas for solutions in the Senate.

Popovič Jakub
I run for: faculty senate for BSc. and MSc. students
I study: 1st year of BSc. – Ecotoxicology and Environmental Analysis
Who am I?
Hi guys! I’m Jakub and I’m a student in the first year of a BSc study programme Ecotoxicology and environmental analysis from the Faculty of Environmental Technology. I come from eastern Slovakia, which inspired me to study the programme because a huge part of the area I live in is polluted by toxic pollutants such as PCB. That’s why I’ve decided not to study medicine because it would bring me greater satisfaction if I could help the biggest amount of people by preventing the problem rather than helping cure them individually.
When it comes to my hobbies I like playing and watching tennis and other sports as well. I like binge-watching TV series on streaming platforms. And of course, I love spending time with my family and friends on various occasions.
Visiting galleries, theatres and cinemas is another hobby of mine, because with every visit I can find something that inspires me to positively change something in my life.
Why should you vote for me?
As I mentioned in the previous answer, I recognize the problems of my homeland. I’m able to quickly adapt to new environments, recognize and analyse problems that are standing in the way of progress. That’s why I’ve decided to join K3S, which connects people from senates and student groups because I want to understand how the school operates, considering I’m planning to spend 5 years of my life here.
I like having conversations with people, but I enjoy being a listener even more because it gives me a chance to understand the other side. And that is what I imagine a senator to be like. It should be a person, that communicates with students and listens to them so he or she can get suggestions that may be useful for a better life at the faculty or school. These suggestions can then be further discussed among school senators.

Sochorová Eliška
I run for: university senate and faculty senate for BSc. and MSc. students
I study: 2nd year of MSc. – Environmental Engeneering and Analysis
Who am I?
Although I became a chemistry student a bit by accident and it took a while, in the end I really fell for UCT. I am also a member of K3S, where I participated, for example, in the organization of the first year of the Vitriol student award. I try to spend my free time in nature, the happiest I am on a hike. That is why I am currently having the best time taking part in Erasmus programme in Austria.
Why should you vote for me?
I believe that our university is at a high level in terms of education, access to students and communication, yet there is still room for improvement. For example, I would like to see the teaching concept adapted so that it is more based on discussion, group work and projects. It seems important to me that students learn to work better with the acquired knowledge. After my experience of studying abroad, I would try to push for more courses to be taught in English.
