Antončík Filip, MSc.
I run for: faculty senate for doctoral students
I study: 1st year of Ph.D. - study program Chemistry
Who am I?
As a first-year, I have been actively participating in the research of high-temperature superconductors at the Department of Inorganic Chemistry. I believe that cooperation with industry is crucial in technological research, hence I have been cooperating with a company specializing in high-temperature superconductors for over two years. In my spare time, I enjoy skiing and electric guitar.
Why should you vote for me?
In the academic senate, I would like to focus on improving the communication between the student and the university, which has sometimes been a very frustrating experience for me (I believe I speak for most). Furthermore, I would like to reduce the amount of administrative work, which is often quite a burden for Ph.D. students. I would also like to introduce new out-of-school activities which would be tied to chemistry.

Domín Vojtěch, BSc.
I run for: university senate
I study: 1st year of MSc. - study program Hydrogen and membrane technologies
Who am I?
At the UCT, I study Hydrogen and Membrane Technologies and do mathematical modelling of electrode reactions. Aside from school, I spend my time photographing with my old film camera, running or cycling.
Why should you vote for me?
I decided to run for the Senate mostly for my desire to improve things around me. At first, I organised educational projects focused on soft skills and I have been working on projects at the university with other active students and senators lately. If elected, I am planning to focus on soft skills once again, as all of us will need to be able to communicate and argument for what we learn here. Besides, I would like to work on the improving educational situation at the UCT.

Faltysová Ivana
I run for: faculty senate for BSc. and MSc. students
I study: 2nd year of BSc. - study program Chemistry and technology of materials
Who am I?
I am studying the second year of Chemistry and Technology of Materials programme. I like to spend my free time in the mountains, not only as a tourist, but also as a climber. In bad weather you can find me on a climbing wall, in theater or in cinema halls.
Why should you vote for me?
I want to run for the academic senate so that I can reduce the amount of paperwork, which is not only connected with studies, from a position within the system. Especially in these difficult times, everything needs to be done online and not spend long hours in line at the dean's office. I will be happy to be your proud representative.

As a member of the student part of the faculty senate, I think I begun to understand the functioning of the FCT and other parts of the UCT. So I will be able to orientate myself very quickly in the university senate and cooperate with them.

Kuncová Anežka, BSc.
I run for: faculty senate for BSc. and MSc. students
I study: 1st year MSc. - study program Drug synthesis
Who am I?
Hi everyone! My name is Anežka (I can teach you how to pronounce that, just ask me when you see me walking down the street) and I am a first year grad student majoring in Drug synthesis. At school, I am a member of a student organization IAESTE, where I was also elected as a board member last year. In my free time I love to ski, cook and add random tv shows in my Netflix list and never watch them after.
Why should you vote for me?
It is my fourth year at UCT so I am slowly but surely becoming one of the student veterans. That means that I spent a fair amount of time on the school campus (mainly in the basement of building B – where Carbon café is). Not only have I had the chance to figure out how the school works, but mainly I have met a lot of different people. I am of the opinion that the priority of a student senator should not be pushing their own ideas but listening to other students and consequently working on a solution for their problems. Therefore I am ready to take on the position open-minded and listen to everyone who cares about what is going on at our school.

Sklenka Jan
I run for: faculty senate for BSc. and MSc. students
I study: 2nd year of BSc. - study program Chemistry and technology of materials
Who am I?
An active student, who takes interest in school agenda. Already as a freshman, I joined the Advanced Composite Materials group in the Inorganic Chemistry department. In my free time I often ride my bike or travel.
Why should you vote for me?
In the academic senate, my main focus would be digitalization of communication between the student and the school. Especially in current times that make in-person communication very difficult, I see digitalization of communication between the student and the school as a field, in which our school has a great deficiency.

Zahradník Šimon
I run for: faculty senate for BSc. and MSc. students
I study: 2nd year of BSc. - study program Drug synthesis and production
Who am I?
Hi, my name is Simon but my friends usually call me Simon. When I was sixteen a friend locked me in a theatre and forced me to learn the script, how to control the lights, sound and how to build a stage. Nowadays, I do not learn scripts anymore but I still enjoy the engineering. I always try to keep my cool, so my boys say that I have a velvety voice.. and that’s all I can think of..
Why should you vote for me?
Well, someone already took the trouble to nominate me and I took the trouble with writing this.. No, but seriously. In these times, when not even our presence in school is assured, it would be nice to have uniformly and especially well-handled lectures and seminars. Students should not be under any circumstances losing information when not attending classes, no matter the reason. If you were to have any ideas or questions for the senate, you would not need to write an email. All it would take would be a few steps down into Carbon, where under normal conditions, I am in liquid state. Also.. every school needs it’s gardener (it works better in Czech, just translate my last name)..
