The Metrology and Testing Laboratory of the University of Chemistry and Technology Prague was established in 2000at the Department of Food Analysis and Nutrition, Faculty of Food and Biochemical Technology. The laboratory is accredited by the Czech Institute for Accreditation according to EN ISO/IEC 17025:2017 as testing laboratory No. 1316.2.
The laboratory focuses mainly on the chemical analysis of food including water, beverages and dietary supplements, natural and pharmaceutical raw materials and products, feed, chemical preparations, biological materials of human, plant and animal origin, environmental components, objects of common use, forensic samples, psychotropic and addictive substances, etc.
In order to achieve a high technical level of services, the Laboratory uses a flexible scope of accreditation, which makes it possible to operationally expand or otherwise modify the scope of accreditation without prior assessment by the accreditation body (see ILAC-G18:01/2024 and EA-2/15 M: 2023). Within the flexible scope of accreditation, the Laboratory can modify its test methods, in particular expand the range of set parameters (substances) and test subjects (matrices).
The laboratory provides expert opinions and interpretation of test results.
